BIO: Chris’ story began overseas. A lowly son of a Flemish farmer, Chris began his life rooted into the Earth, harvesting the food the family would consume and constantly removing dirt from under his fingernails. Convinced that this was his lot in life Chris took solace in the little things that brought him joy… The hummingbird quivering nervously in front of a flower on a crisp spring morning, the smell of freshly baked bread and the sounds of the church choir that would linger in the corners of their medieval church long after the choir had stopped singing. It is here that Chris truly developed his love for singing. When he wasn’t tilling the soil with his bare hands and bandaging his bloody knees, removing thistles and thorns from his body, he would find himself in the barn, singing simple melodies to the livestock. When his father unexpectedly passed while he was still a young boy from smallpox, he found himself on a steamship bound for the states. He took up residence with his eccentric aunt and uncle in the south suburbs of Chicago. Chris had never seen a building more than one story tall and suddenly he was thrust into the chaotic metropolitan environment of the big city. Soon, without any real child rearing coming from his childhood home in the states, Chris got his education from the streets. Chicago was electric, and Chris was drawn to its lively vibe, as well as all of the excess that it had to offer. Living a sheltered life had provided Chris with a strong, moral compass, but he was also very naïve. The simple farm boy that was raised under the eyes of God in the Flemish farmlands was now hanging out on the mean streets of Chicago, singing back alley songs and eliciting the company of questionable women. One thing never waivered during is transformation from a simple farmboy into to the leader of a rock ‘n’ roll band… His love for singing and the appreciation of freshly baked bread. Throughout the years, Chris has been the front man for various rock ‘n’ roll outfits in both the city and the suburbs and is widely regarded as being pretty OK. Now, in the later years in his life, he cherishes the quiet time again, and even though he’s generally loud and annoying, he is still just a simple farm boy at heart.

JAY-BASS; the low-end heartbeat that turns noise into power!
Don’t get distracted when he smiles at you...nicest guy in the room, right?
Yeah… until he picks up that bass, then it’s game over, he hits you with a bass line
you didn’t see coming.
He’s the guy laying down the riffs you feel in your chest & the ideas that
keep this whole thing moving.
Cool, collected, & crushing it back there.
BIO: Many people don’t realize that in the middle ages, in Europe, thousands of people were born into Cathedral building families. What that meant was that you were born, and as soon as you were old enough to pick up a brick and lay down some mortar, you began working on the local cathedral. You spent your whole life working on that cathedral, and you would die without ever seeing it finished. Your father worked on the cathedral. Your grandfather worked on the cathedral. Your great grandfather worked on the cathedral, and if you were lucky enough to have any sons, they would also be working on the cathedral until the day they died. Much like being born into a cathedral building family, Jason Williams was born into a family of bass players. Jay’s great grandfather was none other than Paul Tutmarc, who literally invented the first electric bass in Seattle in 1935. Jay’s grandfather played the bass and was one of the original members of The Dave Clark Five. Jay’s father plays the bass. Jay’s brother plays the bass. Literally every member of Jay’s family is proficient and/or famous for playing the bass guitar. You can imagine the shock and horror on the faces of Jay’s Mom & Dad when at tender age of 10 years old, Jason took an unnatural liking to the bassoon. The instrument just seemed to speak to him, and he began playing it as soon as he was able to lift it and hold it. Jason’s father immediately tried to intervene and began a series of ritualistic punishments and discipline. Often times resulting in Jay watching his father violently destroy his bassoon right in front of him while his brother played a blues progression in E on his Fender jazz bass. This severe, and arguably cruel, regiment continued until they finally broke Jay in his early teens. Jay would play the bass guitar like everyone else in his family. No questions asked. Chris Earll and Jason Williams met in the 1980s through a mutual friend, as Jay had joined an underground secret society of bassoon lovers that would meet in a small, dank basement in the south suburb of Mattson Illinois. Jay would play the bass. And he did it with a smile on his face, but no amount of shattered bassoon fragments his father could produce could extinguish the love for the bassoon that forever burned in Jay’s heart. Chris Earll was dating a girl who shared this love for the bassoon, and through those meetings, Jay and Chris quickly became friends and started playing together in various rock bands in the early 1990s. The two of never lost touch and when the fabulous HAsBeeNs needed a bassoon player, Chris knew just who to call… Only the thought of having a bassoon in a cover band was absolutely ridiculous, so Jay is continues to carry the torch for the rest of the Williams family by playing the bass in one of the hottest cover bands in the city of Chicago!

TIM-RHYTHM GUITAR; the glue that keeps the chaos together!
Every band’s got that quiet one…
he doesn’t say much, lets the guitar
do all the talking.
He looks like he’s here to work, but really, he’s here to party with all of you.
Cordless guitar-no boundaries,
and riffs that won’t quit,
He’s bringing the it straight to YOU!
If you’re near the front, you may be
part of the show,
He brings the music to the people.
BIO: Being an adrenaline junkie has provided Timmy P with enough stories to write numerous novels. No simple band bio would dare attempt to encompass the voluminous amount of life that Tim has crammed into nearly 60 years on this planet. Whether it was free diving in the ocean off the coast of Brazil at depths that would kill 99% of the men on earth, or free climbing the rocky precipice of El Capitan, Tim has lived his life by a code, and that code is freedom! Born the son of a wealthy venture capitalist in Manhattan, Tim never had a want or need for money. He fixated on the more salacious things in life. A V8 motor. An off-limits trail ready for his mountain bike to devour. The chance to go spearfishing with the Bajau people in Southeast Asia. A near death experience while cliff diving in South Point (Ka Lae) Hawaii. Tim’s need for adrenaline and danger has nearly cost him his life on numerous occasions. When he became a young man, he consulted with a shaman in the Mojave desert, and after three days spent talking, crying and ingesting copious amounts of hallucinogens, he emerged with a newfound discovery for the guitar. By way of a freight train, and with no real plan, he wound up in the city of Chicago. Something about the city seemed to call to him. Timmy P answered that call with a guitar in his hand, and he has never looked back. Today he provides an integral piece of music making, and merriment to the fabulous HAsBeeNs. The boys are eternally grateful that he is satisfied his need for an adventurous lifestyle and is now content to lay down the juicy rock ‘n’ roll with the band.

CHRIS G.-DRUMS, Built to hit hard and never let up!
Literally behind it all is the man
who keeps this whole thing alive.
Locally known, & widely feared,
because once he locks in,
this machine doesn’t let go.
Relentless, sharp timing, and hits hard!
Don’t let the calm fool you—
this man is an absolute monster
behind the drums.
Friendly offstage… unstoppable on it.
BIO: If you’re lucky enough to spend any time alone with Chris Gonzales, he will undoubtedly begin bending your ear about his time spent as a boy as a member of Circo Hermanos Caballero! You see, the popular traveling Mexican Circus based out of Guadalajara is where Chris got his start in life. The son of Otto and Matilda Gonzales, Chris’s early days were spent in a crib stationed next to the infamous “globe of death”, which was the cage where Otto and Matilda performed their extremely dangerous motorcycle act. In those early days, Chris would sit watching his parents perform for the masses while eating stale popcorn, and breathing in exhaust. His dreams were not their dreams, and as a teenager, Chris was finally old enough to make a change. He would soon leave the rogue lifestyle of a circus performer and relocate to the country than invented rock ‘n’ roll! You see, while Chris’s mom and dad were perfecting their act, he was busy wearing out Mötley Crüe cassettes in his Sony Walkman. Using sharpened sticks and empty buckets, Chris discovered his lifelong passion of playing the drums and he knew there was no room in the circus tent for a double bass Pearl drum set complete with roto-toms and a 6 foot gong. When the circus made a stop in Chicago in the early 1990s, Chris saw his window and he jumped through it. He set up shop on the south side with a family that lovingly took him in and began doing odd jobs to sock away as much money as he could to purchase his first drum kit. In those early days, you could find him behind the kit, sitting on his throne, covered in hairspray and makeup, while wearing his infamous assless chaps. Today he straddles the chair and mercilessly pounds out the rhythms for numerous bands on the south side. The fabulous HAsBeeNs just happen to be the best of the bunch!

MARK-LEAD GUITAR, & mandolin, & acoustic,

Turning solos into stories.
BIO: An easy way to avoid suspicion from various law-enforcement agencies worldwide is to become very good at something else that has nothing to do with the crimes you are committing. For example, no one knows that Theodore Bundy was an accomplished sous chef and worked in various Michelin star rated restaurants while he was murdering the young women that would eventually lead to his capture and subsequent death. But for years, he alluded the long arm of the law because who could imagine someone capable of serving you a perfectly cooked Châteaubriand being capable of actually committing such atrocities. Mark Sendra is the newest member of the fabulous HAsBeeNs. Initially brought in as a hired gun to fill in as the lead guitar player, the rest of the boys in the band were immediately drawn to him, so they made him an offer to become a permanent member. However, no one really knew the backstory on Mark, but one thing was certain, he reeked of mystery, intrigue, and danger. Behind his lighthearted persona beats the heart of a man that definitely should not be fucked with. Mark is a perfectionist. His skill on the fretboard is just the tip of the iceberg. Recently, this author had a chance to finally break down the barriers on this mystery man, and with the help of a substantial amount of liquor, parts of his story were finally revealed. The Sendrovsky family defected to the U.S. as the the stones of the Berlin wall came crumbling down. Seeking asylum in the United States wasn’t because of persecution in the USSR, but rather a desperate attempt to allude being tried and sentenced for being members of the Russian crime syndicate. Mark and his family had many secrets… but no one kept secrets from them. The phrase, “we have ways of making you talk“ should be tattooed on the backs of everyone in the Sendrovsky family. When they arrived in Chicago, to avoid suspicion, the family name was shortened to Sendra, and in order to keep the prying eyes of the CIA off of the family, every family member got deeply involved in the arts. Mark‘s father was the original star of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Broadway. Mark‘s mother became and accomplished harp player and currently has residency with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Mark chose the guitar. But again, being an average guitar player wouldn’t be good enough… Mark needed to absolutely shred on the guitar so no one would suspect him of having the ability to torture someone to within an inch of their life because they owed money on a debt. Of course, all of this is hearsay… And as far as anyone knows, Mark Sendra is a just really good guitar player who plays in various bands throughout the city of Chicago… The fabulous HAsBeeNs being his absolute favorite!
